If you know me, you know Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. With October approaching I had to feature one of my favorite, adorable Halloween cakes. Everything on this cake is edible, including the bones and eyeballs.

All cake decorating is a form of art, but my absolute favorite is using buttercream and a palette knife to create the look of an oil painting. It’s my cake therapy.
I should start by saying I have absolutely no formal photography training. Everything I know comes from YouTube videos, experience, and bugging the hell out of a few photography friends of mine. I know what I want when setting up a shot, but the execution sometimes leaves little to be desired. I still enjoy it so I've decided to share some of my tools and tips for cake photography.
Cue Julie Andrews' voice..."These are a few of my favorite things!" I've been in this decorating business for three years. In those years, I have tried so many different tools and products. Some have been a huge fail while others I buy in bulk now that I have found that they work for me. I also feel like these tools are very reasonably priced which is always a bonus.
